MAXQDA AI Assist

MAXQDA AI Assist is a new AI-based add-on – supported by OpenAI. AI Assist offers the possibility to automatically summarize text passages and coded segments. You can also automatically paraphrase text segments and generate new codes/subcodes based on already coded text passages. Furthermore, AI Assist includes MAXQDA Transcription – MAXQDA's automatic transcription service – with which you can automate the transcription of audio and video files. You can freely select the language for automatic transcription as well as for creating summaries and code suggestions.

The following AI Assist functions are currently available in MAXQDA:

• In the document browser, selected text sections can be automatically summarized and saved as a new in-document memo or new paraphrase. In addition, you can display an inspiring list of new codes that could be assigned to the selected text section.
• An automatic summary can be created for individual coded segments and saved in the coding comment.
• In code memos, you can automatically generate a code summary for all segments that have been coded with the corresponding code.
• In the summary grid, you can automatically generate a summary for the segments of a document that have been assigned to a selected code.
• Based on the content captured with a code, AI Assist can generate suggestions for suitable subcodes and save these suggestions in the code memo.
• Automatic transcription of audio and video files with MAXQDA Transcription.
