Windows offers one user interface for different devices.

 

Minimum order quantity of 5 licenses for the first order is required to be eligible to order from the OPEN programm. You may freely compile from the program. Alternatively 1 product with the addition "Qualified" is sufficient.

Afterwards you will receive an OPEN authorization number which is valid for two years. In these two years you may order single licenses. Please state the authorization number for subsequent orders.

 


Licence models:

The term
of the Open License agreement is two years. This is valid from the initial order for 24 full calendar months plus the remainder of the month in which the initial order is processed. Within this period, you are entitled to purchase additional items within the scope of your price level. However, repeat orders do not extend the term of your Open License agreement.

Entry levels
You can use Open License with a minimum order of five licenses. Within the entry-level "Open C", Open License products are divided into three product groups, with each product being assigned a corresponding point value.

Product categories
For Open NL, the initial order requires the purchase of only 5 licenses and for Open C 500 points per product group. The Open License software products are divided into the following three product groups under "Open C":

  • Application
  • System
  • Server

The larger the volume of licenses ordered, the larger the volume discount. With Open NL, customers can select licenses from the entire Open License product portfolio and receive a single Open License authorization number. If a larger number of products is required, the customer can use the Open C price level. This Open price category is not based on the number of licenses, but on their point values. The order refers to one of the three product groups: Applications, operating systems and servers. The customer then receives a separate Open License authorization number for each product pool.

Right to use Open License
Even after the expiry of the Open License Agreement, the right to use your Open Licenses remains in effect. Only the additional rights of Software Assurance expire upon expiration of the agreement, unless a new Software Assurance agreement is concluded.

    eLearning can be used online or offline by your company's employees and includes simulations, hands-on exercises in a virtual environment and a learning assessment.
  • Home Use Program
    With the Home Use Program you can increase the productivity of your company's employees. It allows your selected employees (who are authorized to use Microsoft Office at work) to use a free, licensed copy of selected Microsoft Office desktop programs at home. On the one hand, this enhances the skills of your employees at work by giving them the opportunity to test helpful Microsoft Office functions at home before using them at work.   • Cold backup for disaster recovery
    As a customer with Software Assurance for Microsoft server software and associated Client Access Licenses (CALs), you are eligible for "Cold Backup" server licenses for recovery purposes. Microsoft defines a cold server as a server that is turned off until an emergency occurs. The server is not in a production environment and there is no data processing on it.
